Wow! It's already been just over a year since SMWYCA premiered at the Salt Spring Island Film Festival. Check out this article written about the project as part of the festival.
In November 2014 we held the first, "Show Them What You Care About" event. We decided it was time for a second one, but this time it will be warmer!
Please join us for an improv everywhere/guerrilla art/joy spreading event:
1. Ask yourself what you care about. What do you want others to know is meaningful for you? It can be simple, complicated, thought provoking, or straight forward.
(Go to the Show Me What You Care About - Vancouver to see photos of last year)
2. Make your a sign:
Your sign can be "I care about [fill in the blank]" OR you can use a thought/quote/idea that symbolizes what you care about.
Signs can be as large or small as desired, but should be readable by a distance and not too long as folks will be on the move.
You can make one at home or join us, with Building Caring Communities, at the Hub on Thursday, April 16th.
3. Meet us at English Bay (exact location TBA), where we will line up along the sea wall with our signs; because who doesn't want to see people out in the world, willing to share what is meaningful to them to inspire others.
4. Show them what you care about.
